Summary

Sonic partnered with the leadership team of GLS/NXT, the digital innovation unit of GLS Germany, to rapidly grow their product and tech organization, accelerating digital initiatives and outlining a tech roadmap. This partnership led to scaling the team from 5 to over 25 employees and accelerated the implementation of several digital projects, including the introduction of parcel stations and the redesign of the GLS website.

Our Work

Shortly after having the fundamentals of GLS/NXT in place, the leadership team Dr Jan Feiling and Maximilian Schreiber realized that they needed fast support in designing and recruiting their product and technology organization, moving their digital product initiatives forward at the same time and outlining a long-term tech roadmap that allows GLS/NXT to thrive while being well connected to the GLS Group technology ecosystem. After choosing to partner with Sonic for this mission, we defined different work streams around organization design and recruitment, product management for internal product initiatives, and building the GLS/NXT technology roadmap. With that, Sonic is becoming an integral part of scaling this digital business unit from 5 to 25+ employees and beyond, leads in-house product initiatives for new GLS/NXT technology, and defines the technological stack and strategy for the long-term growth of GLS/NXT as a thriving business unit of GLS.
